Tom Ford’s First Sneakers Collection

In a fashion world where sneakers tend to be neon red, fluorescent green and glowing white, fashion designer/film director Tom Ford managed to pull it off, realising a Norm-core collection of sneakers. Simplicity never looked better! Offered in two models (high-top and low-top) and a range of 7 colors for the leather skin and 5 colors for the velvet, the kicks have a price range from 690$ (velvet low-top) to 990$(leather high-top). Each pair takes about 20 days to be made, best Italian craftsmen spend 7 days for sewing, 10 days for molding the “skin” and 3 days for hand polishing.

“I have resisted the tennis shoe, but I finally gave in when I figured out how to make it my own.” said the designer in WWD Magazine. All models have white rubber soles and they will be available at the flagship stores of Tom Ford in the collection A/W 2014-2015. After looking throughout the entire collection we have one phrase to state: “Shut up and take my money”, the HisPotion team giving an A+ for Tom Ford’s first exclusive division of sneakers.
