Ever wonder what a squid listening to Cypress Hill’s Insane in the Brain looks like?
Fascinated by the fast color-changing nature of the squid’s skin and their ability to quickly control pigmented cells called chromatophores, the folks at Backyard Brains wondered what exactly would happen if they played music to a squid. In order to satisfy their curiosity they attached a suction electrode to the squid’s fin nerve and then connected the electrode to an iPod nano as their stimulator. The results are incredible.
